Encourage your child to pursue their passion for writing and guide them to write in a constructive manner. The Yellow Class “Descriptive Writing” program is tailored for children who aspire to be skilled and influential writers. Our aspiring writers will be guided by Yellow Class mentor Jaisleen to help them create stories that keep readers on the edge of their seats.

Practical Approach Towards Writing
Jaisleen assists children in learning all aspects of writing, including descriptive writing techniques. This program will assist students in writing something more interesting and detailed.

Develop A Your Own Writing Style
Learn the right way to use tone, word choice and sentence structure, sensory details, and other such elements of prose to capture the ideas and topics.

Enhance Vocabulary and Diction
This program gives children wholesome learning experience and encourages them to use new vocabulary words.
An avid writer, creative thinker, and passionate thespian, Jaisleen Kaur Sondhi loves making classes more relatable for kids. She introduces characters to keep them engaged through situational learning and likes to experiment & explore new skills.
Introduction & Components of Descriptive Writing
Jaisleen ma'am will teach kids about descriptive writing and its main elements in this session. Simple activities and easy-to-understand explanations will be used to explain writing elements such as good observation skills, adjective usage, invoking the five senses, and well-framed sentences.
Materials Required-
At Yellow Class, we provide engagement and learning activities for kids in a fun-filled way. We conduct live classes which cover, but are not limited to, Creative writing, Book Reading, Storytelling, Public Speaking, Dance, Craft, Pottery, Drawing, Painting, Mind, Body, and Soul.
Describing a Place
The kids will learn to write in the second half of Descriptive Writing by learning to add adjectives to a word, then making a sentence and a paragraph. To construct a sentence, the mentor will use a song of adjectives and poll questions.

Jaisleen ma'am will assist students in the use of modifiers for adjectives as well as vocabulary development. There will also be observation-based activities for writing descriptions of photos shown in class.

The mentor will teach the kids how to use the 'Show, don't tell' method of writing to describe facial expressions in detail. Learning the essential elements of 'Describing a Person' and practising them one by one.

The mentor will instruct on using adjectives related to the five senses to describe an object. To check on progress and get a refresher on some of the topics, poll questions are used.
