What's inside Human Body?

In the very first session of this program, our mentor will get kids acquainted with 'What's inside the body. The young learners will be able to outline the various systems inside the human body, describe its components, and define the term homeostasis.

MATERIALS REQUIRED:

  • Notebook, pencil, eraser


Replicate, Perform and Understand the Digestion Process

Time to delve into the world of the 'Human Body Systems'. We’ll start with the digestive system. It consists of various organs that help in the digestion of food and give the body the fuel it requires to function. Our mentor will teach kids about all the organs involved in the digestive process.

MATERIALS REQUIRED:

  • Notebook.
  • Basic Stationery (Pencil or Pen, Eraser, Sharpener, Scale).

Digestive System Activity:

  • Soft Food (Qty 1 tbs - like Bread or boiled potato or banana, etc)
  • Crunchy Food (Qty 1 tbs - like Chips or cornflakes or chocos, etc)
  • Hand Gloves (Qty 2)
  • Glass of Water
  • A glass of Orange Juice
  • Large Bowl (Qty 1)
  • Serving Spoon (Qty 1)
  • Hand Blender or Mixer
  • Old Socks or Handkerchief (Qty 1)
  • Tissue Paper or Rough Cloth

NOTE: Adult supervision is required for electrical appliances like Hand Blender or Mixer.

The respiratory system is responsible for helping you breathe. It consists of multiple organs that work collectively to ensure smooth breathing in and out process. Attend this session to learn in detail about all the respiratory organs, and their respective functions.

MATERIALS REQUIRED:

  • Notebook.
  • Basic Stationery (Pencil or Pen, Eraser, Sharpener, Scale).

Respiratory System Activity:

  • Plastic bottle with the bottom cut-out (Qty 1)
  • Bendable Straws (Qty 2)
  • Balloons (Qty 3)
  • Sellotape
  • Child-friendly Scissors.
  • Clay or Play Dough

NOTE: Adult supervision is required for the use of any sharp object like scissors


The Circulatory System

How well-versed are you with the function of the heart? Kids will now learn about the role of the heart in pumping blood to the rest of the body. The mentor will explain the entire process in complete detail to ensure the utmost understanding & retention of the process in kids.

MATERIALS REQUIRED:

  • Notebook.
  • Basic Stationery (Pencil or Pen, Eraser, Sharpener, Scale).

Heart Pump Model:

  • Transparent glass filled with water
  • Red Watercolor
  • Paintbrush (Qty 1)
  • Balloon (Qty- 1)
  • Toothpick (Qty 1)
  • Bendable Straws (Qty- 2)
  • Large empty bowl
  • Child-friendly Scissors.
  • Sellotape or Rubber band

NOTE: Adult supervision is required for the use of any sharp object like scissors


Components of Blood

The composition of blood is complex. It is made up of different components that perform unique functions. In this session, the little learners will become familiar with the different components of the blood and their functions.

MATERIALS REQUIRED:

  • Notebook.
  • Basic Stationery (Pencil or Pen, Eraser, Sharpener, Scale).

Blood Cells Activity:

  • Colorful Playdough (Red, White, and Green)

Blood Model:

  • Empty Bottle or Glass (1 Qty)
  • Rajma (Qty 1 bowl)
  • Soybean (Qty - half bowl)
  • Rice (Qty - Half bowl)
  • Glass of water


Muscular System & Making of Robotic Hand

Raise your hand. Move your leg. Do you know what allows these movements? The Muscular System! In this session, our mentor will describe the Muscular System, its components, and their respective functions. But wait, there's more! Kids will also learn how to make a model of a 'Robotic Hand' and will understand how it's different from a real hand.

MATERIALS REQUIRED:

  • A4 Size Colorful Sheet (1 Qty) (any color of your choice)
  • Origami Sheet (1 Qty) (any color of your choice)
  • Toothpick or Skewer (1 Qty)
  • Straws (4 Qty)
  • White color thread (1 Qty)
  • Sello tape
  • Child-friendly Scissors
  • Black Marker

NOTE: Adult supervision is required for use of any sharp object like scissors.


Skeletal System & Making of Paper Skeleton

The human body has 206 bones. These bones collectively form the Skeletal System of the body. Kids will now learn about the Skeletal system, how the bones are connected, the function of bones, the different parts of the skeletal system and much more! Our mentor will also guide them on how to make a paper model of a skeleton to make learning more fun!

MATERIALS REQUIRED:

  • Notebook.
  • Basic Stationery (Pencil or Pen, Eraser, Sharpener, Scale).
  • A4 Size White Sheet (1 Qty)
  • Black Marker
  • Fevicol or Glue
  • Child-friendly scissors

The nervous system is one of the most critical systems of the human body. It comprises the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and ganglia. Our mentor will teach kids all about the nervous system and its functions. She will explain how our brain works and interprets information through interesting activities.
