Session 1 : Know the Game

The first session is designed to enhance your child’s basics of badminton as well as help get them started in this sport. In this program, Srikanth will be talking about his achievements and learnings. He will explain the basics of badminton to the kids to help them ace the game. Kids will get familiar with a few badminton drills and exercises for improving footwork. They will learn the importance of warm-up and cool-down during the game to reduce muscle soreness and risk of injury. Also, kids will learn the correct technique of holding the racquet.

Session 2 : Know About the Serves and Strokes

In this session, Srikanth will tell kids to maintain the correct body posture while playing, how to serve, service returns, and basic badminton strokes. The serve plays an important role in badminton since it is your opportunity to dominate the rally. The mentor will explain the types of Serves followed by the right techniques. Another topic that Srikant will discuss in this session is the basic strokes of the game.

Session 3 : Footwork's and Shots of Badminton

In this session, Srikant Kidambi will talk about the importance of Footwork as it plays an essential role in winning a game. The exercises taught in this session are aimed at helping improve your child’s fitness levels. Another important topic covered in this session is court coverage. The mentor will explain how agility and returning to the base position are helpful to master court coverage.

Apart from this, the mentor will focus on speed and agility, aiming to maintain a fast-paced game. He will show you some of his signatures moves right here in this session.

While preparing for fitness and strength, one very important aspect that the mentor will focus on will be injury prevention and treatment. For all those who want to take up badminton professionally and if you are dedicated to becoming a pro in badminton, the mentor will share some tips and techniques that kids need to follow to ensure your chances of success on the court.
