Session 23 : En Passant Special Move and Pawn Promotion

In this session of module 3, the mentor will be showing an advanced tactical position and solving the position by making kids understand key elements. Kids will be learning to attack the king during the early phases of the game and remove the key defensive piece at any cost. Also, they will understand what is a key defensive piece and how to remove it.

Session 24 : Opening Principles

This session will explain what to do in the first phase of the game by giving several examples. The mentor will be teaching kids a few things such as understanding the opening, knowing when the opening starts and ends, what to do to successfully finish an opening and what to avoid during the opening. Explanation on finishing the first phase of the game successfully will also be there.

This session will focus on understanding what are overworked pieces and solving a sequence of several positions with similar ideas. Kids will learn the definition of overworked pieces and to take advantage to win material or give checkmate along with spotting an overworked piece and taking advantage.

In this session, the mentor will teach kids about pawns, how to recognise pawns and to use them. They’ll also learn how to win an endgame with a passed pawn, and the square rule. Kids will learn to play chess using the passed pawn and square rule to win a simple endgame.

Session 23 : En Passant Special Move and Pawn Promotion

In this session of module 3, the mentor will be showing an advanced tactical position and solving the position by making kids understand key elements. Kids will be learning to attack the king during the early phases of the game and remove the key defensive piece at any cost. Also, they will understand what is a key defensive piece and how to remove it.
